How to reserve a *Starname with Keplr & link it to your personal crypto addresses

Starname is a NameService that makes it easy to send and receive cryptocurrency and access special websites by simple names rather than by long, complex strings of letters and numbers. A Starname is your universal username for the blockchain world and represents one of the last steps required to reach blockchain "mass adoption".

💻 Access Starname's Dashboard with Keplr

Login to Keplr Extension and select [Starname] from the networks drop-down menu. You must have tokens available in your balance to complete the following steps.

Go to https://starname.me/ and click the yellow [Get Started] button. You will be redirected to app.starname.me, where you must select [Continue with Keplr Extension].

Once inside the Starname manager dashboard, you can buy $IOV tokens via Credit Card, view transactions, and register a Starname.

⭐️ Register Your Own *Starname

In the Starname Dashboard, select one of the following options:

• Starname Premium Edition: e.g. *yourname (*name format)
• Starname Basic Edition: e.g. yourname*cosmos (name*cosmos/iov format)

In the [Starname Premium Edition] section, click [Register Now]. Choose your Starname (preceded by *). If the name is available, the cost will be shown below the box. Click [Register] and confirm the on-chain transaction via Keplr. Using [High] fees is recommended for better performance.

📸 How to Edit Your Starname Profile

In your Starname Premium Edition dashboard, click [Manage] next to your Starname. Select [Edit] under [Information about you] to customize your profile. Note: when writing your Twitter and Telegram tags, do not include @. Scroll down and click [Update] to save the information on-chain via Keplr.

🤝 How to Link Your *Starname to Your Addresses

Click [Manage] next to your Starname, then [Edit] next to [Crypto-Currencies you accept]. Click the chain selector box and choose all chains whose addresses you want to link. Use [+ Add More] to add additional chains. To find your addresses, open Keplr Extension, select the desired network, and click on the address to copy it. Paste it in the corresponding field in the Starname Dashboard. Scroll down and click [Save] to confirm the operation on-chain via Keplr.
