How to Create Your Agoric Wallet Address

An easy walk-through guide with Keplr wallet.

The team is proud to announce the native integration of the Agoric chain with Keplr wallet, providing support for cross-chain transfers of IST and BLD. For Agoric (and Keplr) fans, this is big news! Get prepared and set up your digital wallet for Agoric's multi-phase mainnet with Keplr's quick setup guide.

The Basics 🌳

  1. Install the Keplr wallet desktop extension.
  2. Set up a Keplr account.
  3. Find your Agoric wallet address.

The Details

1. Install Keplr Wallet Extension

  1. Go to the official Chrome Web Store link and click [Add to Chrome].
  2. In the pop-up window, choose [Add Extension].
  3. Once added, pin the Keplr icon in your browser bar to make it easily accessible.

2. Set Up a Keplr Account via Mnemonic Seed Phrase

Once you've installed Keplr, you'll see four options to create an account. We recommend setting up your wallet using a mnemonic seed. (For Agoric address generation, we do not recommend using the 'Sign In with Google' option due to limited support across other wallets.)

  1. Click on the installed Keplr browser icon — this takes you to the accounts setup page. Choose [Create new account].
  2. The next page shows your secret seed/mnemonic phrase. Save this phrase in a secure place and never lose it — this is your account's master key.
  3. Enter a name for your account and a password (you can change these later). Click [Next].
  4. To confirm the account creation, click on the words in the correct order from your seed/mnemonic phrase and press [Register].

3. Checking Your Agoric Address

  1. Make sure your Keplr wallet is updated to the latest version.
  2. Open your Keplr wallet extension.
  3. In the drop-down network menu, select "Agoric."
  4. In your Agoric account, you'll see a long string beginning with 'agoric,' which is your wallet address (e.g., agoric132…6kkrv).
  5. Click on the wallet address to copy it.

Note: for multiple addresses, you'll need to copy and add them one at a time.
